My set is as follows, Audiolap 8000a amp[old but still going strong], with new Roth OLi speakers.My CD player is a Pioneer PD91,Again quite old.The CD players eject tray has broken. I have to feed the CD into the player itself. What would you guys recommend ? Cheers.

So many choices you wouldn't believe! Is the WHF Ultimate Guide to Hi-Fi still in the shops? If so, go grab it quick - there's reviews of about 6 CD players in the under £300 budget, all with 4-5 star ratings. One of them might not be your ideal player, but it may well give you an idea of what you're looking for...
Question should have been.What would I have to pay to equal my old pd 91 ?.From your answers,Up to £300.
