Can you help? I like the idea of purchasing either of the above speakers as I've heard that they are good for classical. However, am unsure which would be best for my room dimensions (14ft x 9.5ft). One is a small floorsatnder the other a small standmount. Also, do you know if they are bi-wirable, as my speaker cables are configured that way?

It has several upgrades and should cost around £1350...a bit more expensive but an upgraded tweeter is added which should make this little floorstander out of this world no matter what music you through at it. The most impressive aspect of the neat motive 2's for me is the timing- it is just spot on & I love how musical they sound! enjoy whatever you get 🙂 most importantly, audition if you can! I could not, so bought it blind...but after living with it for a year or so now-I love it!

the Neat Motive 3's are also bi-wire or bi-amp

both the 2's and 3's are excellent - there is no shortage of bass in the 3's so it probably depends which best suit your room and listening position

i sit fairly close to the speakers at c2.5m so the standmounts work well - both have the same qualities on timing and presentation

find a dealer and it should be fairly easy to try them both out

Are all your walls solid walls? Or are some stud/partition walls? Do you have a concrete floor or suspended floor?

I reckon you'd be able to use either, but depending on the above, that might narrow it down slightly.

I have solid walls and a wooden floor, plus curtains, low ceiling height. What do you gain with the floorstanders? Are they worth the premium?
