It's looking as though the Uniti may be my next move. I'd also, before that, been thinking of a pair of the EB1 speakers. Obviously I can go on a waiting list to try them at home but does anyone have any experience of this combination?

Thanks in advance

Thanks Andrew. Obviously I'll listen myself too but I wanted to make sure it was worth going through the home trial process (easy if you can just take them back to the shop)

I'm a Uniti owner now and I'm waiting for my EB1's to arrive (hopefully Monday/Tuesday next week, fingers crossed) so cannot wait to put them both together. It will be interesting to see how they compare to my current Quad 12L2's which sound pretty good. I'm also picking up some new NAC-A5 cable from a local dealer tomorrow (£7 p/m plus £3 per plug) which I think is a pretty good deal for new cable.

Don't we just love on-line purchases?

The EBs have a really good reputation with a wide range of amps; Andrew clearly likes them with the Uniti, but doesn't necessarily mean they'll suit your taste. The safety net is the company gives you a 30 day trial, which is good.

Call me old fashioned, I still like to go to a shop and hear different brands with my set-up like to be fully satisfied -- as against buying over the net and thinking weeks down the line: "Could I have chosen better?"

For what it's worth, I would choose PMC DB1s - they sound stonking with the Naim, as long as your budget is flexible.

£7 for NACA5...?! Where's that from then DIB, if I may ask ?...I could do with a few lengths for a 2nd system in the planning...

Thanks PP and Andrew.

Flexible budget? Isn't that what the ladies do with "oh no, I've had this for ages, Dear!"
