Naim's purist approach to the Nait 50 is a breath of fresh air for hi-fi

There is a lot of sense to the thrust of this article. However, the Naim 50 is maybe not the best example, beyond it’s small size. I could have afforded the original Nait back in 1983 (about £800 in today’s money) but this tribute costs a barely believable £2,699! I know it is a limited edition, which might go some way towards why Naim feels it can charge this high end price, but I think I preferred the way that the likes of the 1980s Mission, Rotel and Naim sought to combine ’purist’ with much better value.
