Currently have a set-up consisting of NAD 3020e Amp, Rogers LS4a speakers, and Revolver Rebel turntable. At the moment, all my digital music is coming from lossless files on PC via Airport Express (no DAC). I've just seen a Naim CD3 advertised for £349 online, and so am now faced with a dilemma: with around £400 to spend on an upgrade to my digital source, would I be better off buying a DAC to improve my already present PC music collection, or should I go for the Naim? In its day, I've read the Naim was very highly regarded, so would I get a better sound for £400 from Naim CDP, or DAC? If DAC, any ideas on which one?
I know that either way the digital source will end up being vastly better quality than the other components in my system, but in time hopefully funds will allow a more complete upgrade.
Thanks very much in advance.
