I cant beleive you have bought the 7007 - did I have any influence on your decision? Hope so :)

You wont be dissapointed mate - the included hdmi is a cheapo - I personally depsite all the debate use a Chord active, the newer one with the blue plug. You have seen how good my images have been I personally believe the hdmi is important in getting that.

The pictures were great! Yep, just bought WHF's award winner HDMI cable for it! Not too long to wait now.

My Pioneer will probably go with the Pearl.

Yep, that is very similar to my Chord! Mine is massive, I have two, one for the amp, and one for Blu-ray player.

Picture looks very good, lots of detail and depth to it. It works very well, loads discs very fast and is very quiet. One of the best Blu-ray players I have seen. DVDs look very nice too.

I have the Audioquest Cinnamon cable - great. Anyway the Marantz is the machine I always wanted, the UD7006 anyway. What tv are you using it with?

Panasonic 50GT50 and a Sony 46hx803 as a second TV. Looking to get the Panasonic VT65 to replace the Sony.

Gel you happy with the player mate?

Have you tried it for cds - its bloody good at that too

I like it and I think it is very good, but I don't think it is for me unfortunately. Just not getting any benefit from it.

Have you had the opportunity to try the ud7007 with a SACD or one of the new High Fidelity Pure Audio discs?

You mean you're returning the player?

Yep. I just haven't taken to it. Not saying it is not good but it is a lot of money not to be 100 per cent happy with.
