my first system in 20+ years

hi all old newbie here. So I was thinking of getting the old vinyl back into service again a few weeks ago and my boss said here have these a technics su x933 amp ,sh e65 eq, sl pj 26a cd player and a tuner nice of him cheers guv.

Then bought a nice Dual cs505 2 turntable and a pair of jamo classic 8s, Im using Van Damme blue 4mm speaker cable the sound is nice but I think the amps letting the side down so ive just won a Dennon pma 737 on that auction site, its got good reviews on the web, so am after some thoughts of wether the change in amp is a step in the right direction, or what else might need changing budget isnt the biggest so realistic ideas please

I'm sorry that you have had no replies....I didn't reply because I'm not familiar with any of your kit, except for the Dual.

The best advice I can give, is to check out any local dealers and see what modern kit can give you...even if it means bringing some of your own components with you.
