My Bedroom Setup

Hi there,

I thought i'd share a few pictures of my hifi/pc setup, nowhere near as amazing as some of the setups on here, took me a while to save up, but worth it!

Most of my music is on the pc with itunes and spotify free, although I do have a small collection of cd's aswell, pc is connected to hifi through el-cheapo maplin 5 meter phono cable.

Pair of Goldring NS-1000s and a Western Digital 1tb external HDD

Dell E2210H, Gorilaz - Stylo,music video, 1080p, picture is pretty damn good for one of Dell's "business monitors", camera does'nt do it justice.

AMD Phenom x4 3.4 ghz

4gb ddr3 RAM

ATI 5750

Cambridge Audio S30 bookshelfs, will be being wall mounted soon

Have you got any space to put the sub on the floor (not on a shelf)?

You will notice a nice difference when you mount the speakers, better sound.

Yeah it is an odd place for a sub, but the only other place is under the bed and I find it a bit overbearing and boomy with it under there.

I got the hifi from good old Richer Sounds and they had a combo deal where all I really payed for was the amp and cd, the s30's and ipod dock were thrown in for free! They are good for starting off with, a huge improvement over my old boomy Sanyo micro system. The s30's sound fine to me, however If I was to change them I would probably get some Q-Accoustic 2020's.

I actually find the 1020i and 2020i have the same character as the S30.When sound gets loud, the midrange becomes to pronounced.Wich I dislike.

I must refer I had a pair of S30 for some days but returned it.but if they were free...good

Nice build on the PC - get it up off the floor if you can, even a few inches will help - that nice corsair psu and big fans will inhale dust from down there and you'll get something looking like this

The case has got dust filters in the front that I clean out every few weeks, I wouldnt let it get as bad as in them pictures lol, The case doesnt look quite right on the desk and would have to go on the right hand side of the desk, due to the self brackets, and would be likely to get knocked off there.
