My 1st Hi-Fi

Hi all,

 1st time poster here, I just wanted to know if anyone could help me select a Micro Hi-Fi and a pair of speakers for around £300. I am an absolute newbie when it comes to the world of top notch audio. I had a look on the net for different Micro Hi-Fi's and I have narrowed it down to two that are rated highly, these are the Denon D-M37DAB and the ONKYO CS-515. As for the speakers the ones that stand out are the Q Acoustics 1010i, Wharfedale Diamond 9.0, and the Tannoy Mercury F1 Custom. As I stated before I am a total newbie, so any recommendations would be brilliant.

Both systems are in the reviews section of the site - or at least the Denon and the latest Onkyo CS-525DAB are, here.

I'd go for the Denon with its standard speakers, job done.
