ms aviano 6 for audiolab mono blocs

Hi ive just seen a pair of ms aviano 6 for 400 quid. Now considering i had decided on bw 684s wld these be just as gd

Knowing the Audiolab blocks and their sound; my money would be on the B&W 684's or Monitor Audio RX6's if you can find them at a good price

I've heard the MA Aviano 6's a few times but always found them wanting and a bit bright/forward at times and with the Audiolab 'sound', for me, this wouldnt be a good combo

I forgot to add that one of the best combo's I heard in 2011 was the Audiolab 8200 plus power amp and Rega Saturn to some QUAD 22L2's; they're superb speakers and would be well worth a punt IMO

Sorry to Hijack the thread, but i was also looking to get the Aviano 6's to go with my Roksan Kandy LIII as it sounds far too bright with my current speakers. I just wounderd if hifilover1979 would know if they would be a good match for the Kandy or if they also would be too bright for it.

I only ever heard the Kandy LIII and K2 with the B&W 684's, QUAD 22L2's and the M/A RS and RX6's

All were superb; the QUAD's again being the best of the bunch as I felt they tioned down the slight forwardness of the Roksan amps; the QUAD speakers are smooth so they suit the likes of Audiolab, Cyrus and Roksan down to a tee IMO

Unfortunately I havent heard the MS speakers with Roksan, just Audiolab, Rotel and NAD and for me they just didnt work full stop
