Hi,
When I usually buy a CD I give it a few listens through the drive in the PC. Then after a week or so I RIP it using windows media player @320kpbs.
Today I ripped a CD I purchased recently and gave the new MP3's a listen as usual. I found that towards the end of one of the songs some bass notes were making the small tweeters crackle/fizzle on my right speaker and also slightly on the left.
My first thought was that the speakers have blown. I started checking for dust and cable interference and still it didnt go away. I covered the small tweeter with my palm during the bass notes and it stopped the fizzle so I was sure it was the tiny tweeters that the noise was eminating from....then I decided to put the CD back in and listen to that again as I was never experiencing this before.
Low and behold there was no crackle...
Why and how is this happening and can I do anything about it? Anybody had the same experience?
Thanks
