Dear whoever it may or may not concern,

Would it be possible to post a poll on how many readers use a CD player as oppose to their computer in various ways and forms to play their music. Sorry if I've missed it, if I have could you re-post the findings. Thanks.

AFAIK we don't have a facility for posting polls at the moment, but users are welcome to post their choice, reasons and experience either here or in the Your System section.

Doesn't have to be on the site. You've had polls in the past? I think it would be interesting as well as good for the industry.

Octopo:Doesn't have to be on the site.

Then how could we do it?

Octopo:You've had polls
in the past?

Yes we have? But I think since we changed the forum software we can't at the moment?

Octopo:I think it would be interesting as well as good for the
industry.

Indeed it would be interesting, but i think the industry would pay more heed to market research such as that Clare outlines here, rather than ancedotal evidence.

No no, assume that's sacrificial numbers given the country as a whole, I (as do a great many I guess) want to know how many people who would go out and buy equipment with the aim of replaying their music from a hard drive, compared to those who believe CD will still deliver better quality.

OK, well anyone want to line up to be sacrificed? Form an orderly queue up the steps of the temple, laze and gems...

There could be a whole new section on the forums for polls.

A question could be posted for the month and the results published in the mag 🙂

Y'see, half an hour after JD discovers we can do it, and already it's become the basis for a part-work, a movie, a pizza topping and a special edition Vauxhall Corsa.

JD, you have unleashed Pandora Spock...
