Will the RX1 speakers work well with the Marantz CD Receiver?

I would expect them to work very well together. (They were at the top of my shortlist until I found my Rega R3s second-hand.)

However, I haven't heard the combination. Hopefully you have a dealer who stocks both so you can listen for yourself.

They'll work very well indeed

Before the BX5's I've got currently I had the RX2's and they were superb; you do however need good stands to make the RX1's and 2's sing at their best. The Partington Super Dreadnoughts will work VERY well indeed (better when fully mass loaded down their central column) but the Atacama HMS1's will also work very well. At a minimum the Atacama Nexus 6's (again mass loaded)

The RX1's do however need some breathing room as theyre rear ported so at least 20-30cm from a rear and sidewalls is ideal but they do come with port bungs so they can be tuned

Other speakers to consider would be the B&W 685's, Dynaudio DM2/6's and the RX2's as well.
