Monitor Audio BR1 Vs Wharfedale Diamond 9.1

I am about to go to university and want a small system for
my room. I have decided upon the Denon DM37DAB and will be using QED Silver
Anniversary XT. I am trying to decide what speakers to use with the system. I
have narrowed it down to the Monitor Audio BR1's or the Wharfedale Diamond 9.1.
Anyone who could give me any advice who has heard both speakers would be great
(or any other’s that offer equalled performance).

Wharfedale Diamond 9.1 has better features as follows:

1. Front ported - made it able to be placed near wall behind

2. More wattage - it handles 100w @ 6 ohms, while Monitor Audio BR1 handles 70w @ 6 ohms

3. Lower frequency of 50Hz, while Monitor Audio BR1 has low frequency of 55Hz

In some aspects, Monitor Audio BR1 looks smarter and smaller, however should not be placed near wall behind.

I would choose Diamond 9.1. The MA BR1 is not from its size for comparison. Should you consider MA BR2, it is better than both.
