Anyone who know a miniature TV, suitable as a 'radio display'? Ideally it would be hooked up to both my cable TV decoder (that doubles as a DAB tuner) and my Apple TV (for Internet radio) -- so 2 composite inputs would be fine. Remote control is mandatory.

The smallest TV I've found so far is 19" -- but that's too big...

I did look at this once, and fiund something like a 7" set that I think did have composite inputs. It was SD resolution I think, and may have been about £100.

Before I went Sonos, I was looking for some way to play music from my XBox without turing on my big TV. I decided ultimately that a remote control with display was the best way to go.

I queried the company about the product, so I'll try to dig out the email.

There was a time when small screens were thought to be the future of video... Seems like those days are gone...

It won't help with the box my cable TV provider offers....

How about this from Maplins? I haven't seen it in the flesh so can't vouch for the quality of the picture.

Or take a look at this. These August TVs appear to get some good reviews.

I'm quite interested in getting a small screen myself.....hence the investigation.

You might want to check out caravanning magazines! My mum was used to go on caravan holidays and used to have a 9" colour TV.

Also, depends whether you need a TV Tuner. If you're only going to feed it from your cable box and Apple TV a small LCD monitor would do you. You can find a 9" 16:9 one on amazon sub £100 and Maplin (again) and Office suppliers do them, though they're sometimes listed under CCTV or security monitors, you just need to check the specs.

No need for a TV tuner. All I need is showing the cable box's menues...

I'll check out the links, and look for security monitors and caravan stuff. Thanks!

DOH!
I just had a New Year cleanout of some old equipment and one of the items that went to the recycling plant was a rather dated Akai stereo amplifier but what made it special all those years ago was that it actually had a built in TV screen, so you could see what video source you were switching.
You could have had it for free two weeks ago . . . . sorry about that!

What about those small monitors that they sell with in car DVD players that mount in the headrests?
Surely one of those would do the job?

Alternatively, the company below have some really neat stuff, they do 7", 8", 9", 10", 12" etc . . . .
