Hi all,

My inquisitive mind is asking:

1. Can I use an MF X10V3 tube buffer between a turntable and a phone pre amp? Or between a phone pre amp and integrated amp?
2. Will the connection above damage any of my equipment?
3. Will the tube buffer change the sound like it does on CD set up?

1. Can I use an MF X10V3 tube buffer between a turntable and a phone pre amp?

A. Yes, in theory, though I wouldn't be surprised if it added noise that the pre-pre amp would then boost.

Or between a phone pre amp and integrated amp? A. Yes, that is more as seems it was intended.

2. Will the connection above damage any of my equipment?

A. No, as long as you only turn everything on after connecting all the signal leads.

3. Will the tube buffer change the sound like it does on CD set up?

A. In a similar fashion, I would expect. Whether or not you prefer it is another matter!
