I have a NAS device(Buffalo link station) with lots of mkv (720p, 1080p) files loaded on to it, I'm after a media player which plays these over a wired network without having to have my laptop on. Any ideas?

davidrust:thanks for the reply Gerrardasnails I'll look into that player. One thing, why do I need another external drive when I already have a NAS?

sorry, I missed that you have a NAS. Just the WD box. I'm getting one soon. The Popcorn hour looks horrid!

WD Live, small and unobtrusive and does what it says on the box. Will stream from NAS devices, PCs and has two USB ports for portable HDD. Oh yeah, picture and sound good too. Worth the £90 i paid for it.
