MCR603 - possible to use banana plugs?

Is't possible to use 4mm banana plugs together with the Marantz MCR603?

Can I remove the black caps on the terminals?

Then I just need to get the caps off - somehow ;o)

I use a very small flat blade screwdriver at the edge of the plastic caps to ease them off. (Not prise or lever them off but ease them off. They come away easily and without force.)
