I have a lot of time for Marantz, especially their premium amplifiers. Have heard several over the years, including a few for extended periods of time, though never owned any due to travelling down the valve route. I always thought them to be very well balanced, controlled, a little rich (in a good way), extremely well built and immensely enjoyable to listen to. Compared to a lot of competition, especially today, I think they represent fantastic value.

I use the Marantz NA-11S1 network streamer. Beautifully made and great sound - it does DSD as well. Downside - poor display. I'd have thought as Marantz's top network player, they'd have put in a color screen.

i tried the PM-11S3 integrated amp - looks great and is built like a tank but I wasn't too impressed with the sound. A bit bright and thin for my tastes. Mind you, it was up against the Sugden Masterclass integrated.

IMO the streamer is the better product. For the price of the amp, I'd say you're better off with the Naim SuperNait 2.
