There are other reviews if you google them they say it has excelent sound quality, I had the NR1601 now some rave about the amp on other sites but the short while I had it with some monitor audio BX2 I found it very flat and to warm sounding not at all dynamic.
It sounded as if I had cotton wool down my ears and the HDMI sockets are so flimsy mine had a broken HDMI from out the box!
I personaly found it worse than the denon ceol system (less clarity) but the denon did not provide the decoding I need so I have now gone for a fuller sized amp the yamaha V767.
I am going of the basis of reading that full size amps sound better!
