Marantz mcr603 with iPhone 4 makes crackles

Brand new mcr693. Monitor bx2. No Internet Til next week so Havnt done firmware update.
when playing iPhone 4 via USB cable get frequent high frequency ticks.
Anyone else have this problem?
Will it be cured by updating or should I send it back?
DAB sounds fine.

Given that it works ok with the Nano then I would think the problem must be with the iPhone 4.

Once you have your internet connected (and the M-CR603 firmware updated via it's ethernet connection), make sure your iTunes software and then your iPhone software/firmware are all completely up-to-date and everything freshly sync'ed on the iPhone.

Depending on how long you have been without the internet, you may have missed a few updates on iTunes/iPhone/Nano.

I'd wait until everything is up-to-date then check again.
