Marantz CD6004 for Headphone Setup

I was wondering if anyone has been using the new Marantz CD6004 for headphone use? I don't like the idea of buying lots of boxes e.g. source (cd player), separate DAC and separate Headphone Amp.

How good is the amplifer inside the CD6004? I also have a computer -> headphone system which sounds excellent (sig) but I don't always want the computer on when I listen.

Hi, I've had my Marantz about 2 weeks and it's a truly brilliant player. I'm running it through the amp of my old Pionneer hi-fi so have been using my Goldring DR150 headphones with the CD6004. Stuff sounds very pure and open, I can only compare with sound from my Ipod Nano which I love, and the improvement is huge. I would say the improvement you'd get compared to your PC will be just as, if not much more also. Hope that helps a little.

Okay thanks for the reply. I guess it would be easy to demo in the shop using headphones. As I have a good sound card in my PC and am using uncompressed files, I think it will be hard to beat.
