did a good deal of listening this week.popped into hughes in norwich (very helpful) listened to yamaha as100 combo into kef ls50 ( didnt like although speakers hadnt been run in still sounded tizzy in top end ) then set up the roksan k2 combo into same speakers , sound much improved, much weightier and deeper though the speakers still grated, so changed them to mon audio rx6 sounded very impressive i must say. then went to sevenoaks norwich and listened to k2 combo again this time on my bw cm1 which they had in store , was very very impressed, sound was very weighty , not as detailed as my previous audiolab monoblocs but much warmer and broader soundstage ( possibly the combo il end up with ) then the guy suggested something different. audiolab 8200 with musical fidelity power amp ( cant remember model number but retail 799 ) into cm1s again very nice combo plus didnt realise the 8200 could be used directly with power amp no preamp needed. not as deep as the roksans but still lovely combo, staff there very good as always. then went back home to lowestoft, got an on the spot demo with my local specialist audio images they set up three combos, audio analogue, myryad z series, magnum synthesis ( anyone heard them ) From the off werent to keen on the audio analogues , sounded bit dull, though was most impressed by the small myryad combo, very good depth and bass nice mids and smooth treble from such a modest combo though to be fair all these systems were going into 1200 quid charios but still the myryad system for size and price was impressive and not outclassed by the speakers. next came the synthesis magnum... yes very classy sound and actually a valve and transistor hybrid. the depth warmth and fluidity was lush, good power on tap and deep grand sound stage very nice. any one heard or got any of these combos would be good to hear their views. I will probably end up with the roksan kandy k2s because for the relatively inexpensive outlay they reek of class in looks build and sound, though must say, the small myryads well up on my shortlist. im still hankering to listen to yamaha as 2000 combo as ive been told on forum a huge step up from the 1000s but cant seem to find em, again any thoughts appreciated

Sorry ian i was in a rush whn i wrote it should i write it again in a different post ? The magnums can be found online stunning kit and like i said in my post the kandy k2 for the money were awsome bits of kit very classy. I was a bit surprised by the ls50s from kef but i really dont think theyd been run in much as they had a very tizzy top end and maybe the yamaha as 1000s wouldve sounded deeper on my cm1s . Still wanna hear the as2000 series or maybe just buy one and take a chance as not heard any bad things said about em.

Isn't that much easier to read? If you want people to make the effort of reading and replying to your post, it helps to make it a bit more readable. Remember, many of us are reading this on relatively small screens, so even creating paragraph breaks after each sentence or randomly can make it easier to read than a wall of text.
