Well that's what it now sounds like, there's a really irritating noise coming from inside the computer these days. Anyone else had the same problem? Luckily it's on a 2 year warranty from John Lewis so shouldn't cost to get it fixed.

I've had fans in other stuff make irritating noises. It's usually the bearings and the fan needs to be replaced.

Go to an Apple Store if there's one near you. Should get the job done in no time if it's not too serious :)

Given the cost of Apple stuff, you really don't expect to get these sorts of issues and, if you do, you expect them to be sorted quickly, with the minimum of fuss.

Let us know how you get on......I'm thinking abouy buying an Apple product in the near future.

Well, my new MacBook Pro went bang within weeks of delivery - complete hard disk failure - but has worked fine since being repaired. Makes you very fanatical about using Time Machine, though...
