MA RS1 with Rotel

I am getting some Monitor Audio RS1’s and was wondering what can I expect in terms of sound from them?[/b]

I will be using a Rotel RB1080/RC1070 power/pre amps – I know they have way too much power for the speakers but this is a temporary measure as we are decorating at the moment[/b]

In the long term I plan to use them in the bedroom with a Denon or the new Onkyo micro system as space will be at a premium[/b]

Are the RS1 magnetically shielded?

IMO, Rotel + MA = Bright. Why not some warm speakers? - If it's a stop-gap setup and you liked the RS1 much, who am I to complain?

I don't have the speakers just yet it's just they are a really good deal

The treble might be a little strident with the Rotel/MA combo, but there will be plenty of energy and attack. Worth trying out. If you're getting them for a good deal, you should be able to buy, try, and sell on without loss if you didn't like them.
