I'd like your help on the best TV to buy for less than £1,000. Looking at 42 inch or thereabouts, which can be wallmounted. I'm not too worried about the sound as I intend to run them through my Arcam A85/P85 amp and Dali Ikon 6 speakers (not a 5.1 yet although this may happen in the future).

Any thoughts appreciated.

Thanks

Joel

I would recomend looking at either the Samsung PS42Q97HDX which you should be able to find for around £700ish or the Panasonic TH42PX70 which is avalible with a wall bracket as a option for around £900ish. Both are great screens and will suit you fine it all comes down to which you prefer and even tho the Samsung does not come with a wal mound as a option you can get one for around £50 if you shop arround.

Panasonic TH42PX70 is the better display for Standard Definition and you can pick up one for £674.00 plus £30 delivery from Empire Direct until 07/09/07. You can then get an Omnimount Wall bracket for £70 on the Dixons Wesbite which will otherwise cost £160 for the same mount in Currys their sister company Total £864.00

The Samsung's nice but it's SD is just a bit fuzzy, besides which the the Panasonic will take an 1080p feed even though it will still downscale to 720p.
