Hi, Due to existing set up of room I have limited depth yet wish to install surround sound on my pioneer 508xd currently running sky hd off a single standard speaker fixed to the bottom of the tv, many of the award winning amps are just too deep. I have looked at a bose lifestyle v30 but apart from bose dealers everyone else advises to swerve this. Audiolab units are certainly slimmer than most, could you use the 8000p amp with 8000av over the 8000x7 with 8000ap to keep cost down ? I have looked at kef kht 3005 speakers again any feedback would be appreciated indeed any other products which may suit. Cheers

Using the 8000P will only give you stereo, not surround.

But the 8000AV with an 8000x7 hidden away somewhere, used with KHT3005s, would work rather well.

Oh, and you could also look at the Audica AVS all-in one systems, which perform very well.
