Laptop as blu ray player

Do any laptops with a Blu Ray driver and HDMI output give a picture at 1920x1080p resolution, and do they also give a HD sound bitstream out?

I was thinking of getting a PS3 slim as a blu ray player come media player, but I think a laptop would be more flexible.

Hmm, my PC will play blu-rays pretty much flawlessly @ 1080P using a dual DVI card and a DVI-HDMI adapter but I don't get HD sound out on that. It's a pretty good spec PC, quad core CPU etc, but being a PC it's a fair way short of perfect as a playback source for many reasons with ease of use being near the top. I can't help but think unless you need a pretty frothy laptop for other uses, a dedicated BR deck (or as you say PS3) and a lower spec laptop would be better, more convenient and cheaper.
