kids have killed my sansui

my loveing kid have turned the volume up full on my sansui au 417.then turned it on when connected to my sansui turner.the result being .on channel a nothing no sound.on channel b sound but very quiet no volume.so its dead.off to shop to get it fixed on monday.and maybe a look on ebay depending on the repair cost.[:'(]

Sorry to hear that! It's tricky keeping kids curious hands away from the hi-fi - this is partly the reason for our separate "is anyone interested in closed hifi stands anymore" thread, as having a glass front which is either lockable or on a catch is helpful to keep stuff safe. Hope the repairs required turn out to be minor..

For sure, sorry to hear it, but what I would give to have a locking cabinet that's decent but doesn't cost the earth...!

yes i just hope it does not cost to much.but on the good side im getting to use my au 217 as my main for now.i had forgotton how good it sounds
