Hiya folks.

I currently have two pairs of speakers for home demo, MA GX100's and KEF R300's. I also have some R500's lined up for home demo. Thing is, I can for just a little more money have the R700's. So, I was wondering what differences I might expect between the two (500/700)?

Cheers.

The 700 needs more powerfull amplification than the 500 .

The RA1570 will be fine for both the R500 and R700.

In theory, from 500Hz and upwards, the two will be more or less identical, as they both use exactly the same UniQ array (bar a very slight difference in crossover frequency). The difference is in the cabinet volume and size of bass drivers, affecting bass depth and power - the R700s sound more effortless.

The R700s will be capable of higher overall output, with greater headroom.

Thanks David, pretty much as I suspected.
