Hi

Looking to upgrade. I have an Arcam 8p, KEF Q35.2 speakers and am currently streaming from my phone via an android tablet connected to the phono input of the Amp.

I was wondering which would be best in my small 3.5m x 3.5m room, with low volume to avoid annoying my wife:

Replace it all with KEF LSX2 on stands
Add a proper streamer to existing amp and speaker
Buy a streaming amp like wiim amp pro and use existing speakers
Or buy Wiim amp pro and new speakers

My budget is arround £1000

Thanks for helping

The first thing is yes you need a streamer whether that is a stand alone, or part of your amp or active speakers. If nothing else, the DAC in your phone or tablet is probably rubbish!

Beyond that the question is what do you hope to achieve. Your amp and speakers may be old, but they are good. New isn't always better.

Not too sure why they bothered adding a cheap phono stage if that's what they have done. The lifestyle brigade are likely to add a turntable with phono stage and / or Bluetooth anyway.
And as for trying to play LPs over Bluetooth, well I am not even going there.....
Not saying Fyne have made a bad decision in the speakers themselves as long as decent amplification is utilised.
