Hi All

I am looking to buy my first AV amp and speaker package. However no matter what package or deal I seem to see for £10, £20 or £50 more there is something "better" to be had. I'm after a punchy system which sounds good, looks the part and current (not about to go out of date due to some new technical advance).

I currently have a LCD 1080i, Sky HD and PS 3. I also want to hook up Ipod for music too.

I was considering the Denon AVR1910 with Q Acoustics 1000??

Best Price so far PRCdirect for Amp £429 and superfi for speakers £350.

Any advice would be greatly received. Thanks in advance

The thing is there's always something just a little biot more that's better. You've got to set a ceiling and work within that.

I think the Denon is a good all round amp, but don't know much about the speakers. You might want to demo some other amps though, and defnitely have a listen to the Denon before you go ahead, as different people like different sounds. I think Yamaha and Marantz do amps in the similar price range, and might be worth a listen.

Hope this helps a bit. But demoing is essential.
