Jbl studio 290, anyone heard this speaker?

Im looking for a good 2.1 system and got my eyes on these studio 290 floorstanders, 260p subwoofer and Harman kardon hk3770 stereoreceiver. Now I got wharfedales 155 but the bass is somewhat lacking and it produces annoying shuffing noise from the bassports at higher volymes.

The system finally arrived with the subwoofer still unopened I get terrific bass performance and good musical balanced sound.

Glad you like your JBLs. American speakers usually have tighter, deeper bass response than British speakers. I was looking at these speakers online a few months ago but could not demo them anywhere and no online reviews. Considering the previous JBL studio speakers had been excellent, I can only expect these to be better. They look better and the tweeter has vastly improved and uses technology found in their higher end speakers.
