itunes better on PC or MAC?

this may be a stupid question, but im about to redigitise my entire music collection, i thought about keeping my existing collection on the mac rather than deleting it and making a new collection on my PC because i can't have 2 different itunes etc on the one pc. my question is does it make a difference encoding the music on a pc or mac and can the same lossless files be played on each operating system?

Don't think so, only tried it on PC (Vista) and Laptop (XP) myself, no differrence that I can identify.
You may wish to ask if your question can be moved to the MP3 section as it may stand a better chance of being read by someone who knows.
