Is Unitilite v Solo Neo a fair Comparison?

For those who have gone down or are considering the one box solution, the Solo Neo and Unitiqute are two of the main contenders around the £1,000 mark and are often compared against each other.

However, given the fact that the Solo's amplification (50 wpc) and spec (CDP included) is closer to the Unitilite, could the Arcam stack up against the Lite in terms of sound quality, despite the £650 price differential? Part of the reason for my query is the assertion by some on this and other forums that Naim gear, despite its quality, is somewhat over-priced.

Sometimes you pay over the odds for branding. Whether or not this is the case here, only you can decide. Naim kit does look nice and looks desireable, but I wouldn't know that it would overshadow the Arcam in terms of sound quality, but then sound quality is only one deciding factor when buying a hifi product/brand.
