What cable are you connecting the Mac to the amplifier with?

The DAC within the amp will convert an optical/co-axial digital signal and put it out to the speakers.

Then your digital-to-analogue (DAC) converting is being done in the Mac. Have you got an optical cable that will fit the Mac and then go to an optical in port on the amp?

NO AND TO BE HONEST I WOULD NEED A LONG LENGTH OF CABLE AS WELL-ABOUT 15 METRES
