Is my next Hi-Fi system ok ?

Hi ,

For the last few weeks , i've been looking all over the internet to find what's best for my hifi budget ; I came up with this conclusion:

Given that i only use thi system for computer Flac and Tidal music , this is my choice :

-B&W 683s2

-Nad C370 built in amp , which seems to be very musical , balanced , and powerful enough to drive the speakers : 2x120w class AB

-HRT Music Stream III DAC , which is what i need : Asunchronous USB only , which is the only function i need . The DAC is the only thing that is not definitive , because i just got a deal for a Arcam rDAC , but i don't know if it will improve anything .

What do you all think about this ? Anything wrong with my system ? Thanks

Not OK, based on the evidence you have provided.

I lol'd :D

When I read the topic, there was no text, hence my response.

The OP has obviously since edited the post, to include the text. *pardon*

I know, the lol was before he added the text.

OP seriously, try the XTZ, you got nothing to lose. Till Christmas they're offering 60day trial and free return shipping, should you decide not to keep it.

XTZ works great with b&w, and I think it'd blow the Nad out of the water. As for dac, use a cheap Behringer UCA202 audio interface till you can afford something like a Micromega MyDac or Chord Mojo.

I know for the XTZ , i'd buy it without any hesitation if i had the budget , but that would make an extra 500e , which i can't afford . It will certainly be my next amp , but for the moment i am looking to enjoy my first Hi-Fi setup , so i thought that the c370 would be a good choice for my budget(btw , if you have any other ideo for a 400-500e amp , new or used which will beat the c370's performances with the b&w's , be free to tell me) . And for the DAC , the Micromega MyDac is only 30e more than a HRT , but on the tests it's got a worse rating that the HRT Music Stream II , so i don't know what to say ..

Oh, sorry, I thought the Nad was in the same pricerange as the XTZ (which I thought was roughly 800 Euro). Tbh, if the price of HRT + Nad would equal the XTZ + Behringer UCA202, I would go for the second combo. If it's still too expensive, then forget about it.

Having said that, the Nad is not a bad amp, and actually a good match for the B&Ws. The other options I can think about are used Arcam A19 or Roksan Kandy K2. If not, go for the Nad, it's cool :)

For the price of the B&W's plus amp and DAC, you could have the Dynaudio Xeo 4 + Hub, which will cover all your requirements, produce a very good sound and deliver some practical benefits, like no need for speaker cables, or trying matching amps to speakers.
