Irritated by Android updates.

Sometimes (but not always) when my phone updates, any shortcuts that I have put on the home screens for individuals' phones disappear. Irritates the *!@^ out of me. I can see stuff on the net about problems with Pixel phones and deleting web site shortcuts, but not about shor cuts like mine.

Any ideas?

It's a Motorola XT2075 5g, running Android 11.

Just doe it again - infuriating.

Changing to a new phone might get ever-easier, but it ain't all a bed of roses. Won't be buying Motorola again.

I've been with Samsung for a few years. Happy with it.

Some of the updates / changes don't make sense, Samrt View used to be brilliant for casting audio from Youtube videos to Chromemcasts and no longer sees any devices.
