iPod to amp with built-in DAC

Hi

I've been looking for hours for the best way to connect my iPod and Marantz PM6005 to the coaxial input but can't seem to find an ideal solution.

The Pure i20 seems like the best option so far, but it seems a bit pointless buying a dock with an in-built DAC when I'll just be bypassing it. I would have thought there'd be docks or something similar available which just outputted the digital signal through the coaxial, but would this be too specific?

Initially I thought there might be an iPod to coaxial cable available but that doesn't seem to exist. Does anyone know of a good and cheap way to do this?

If you read WHF's review of the i20 they didn't give its DAC much cop. So the Marantz may well improve on it. Go ahead and give it a try - what do have to lose except a month's worth of coffee??

There are licencing and other issues involved when accessing the digital ouput from an iThing. Try this.

Or ignore the dac and use the digital out from the i20.
