Hi

Does anyone know of a good set of replacement earphones for my iPod Nano. I would like the same style as the originals that come with the ipod as I find the ear canal type uncomfortable (plus they block out too much ambient noise, like cars about to run me over). Budget £20ish.

Cheers in advance

Sony Fontopia MDR-ED21LP about £17 sounds great with ipod they dont go deep and jam into the ear and make a seal which blocks out the outside noise. they do sit in the ear in a good way so there are less prone to fall out, and less sound is wasted. I spent 70 quid on shures which jam into the ear and hated them ended up going back to the Sony Fontopia MDR-ED21LP which I prefered the sound with the ipod

Sorry manicm, but the OP has stated he does NOT want in ear canal phones, therefore the Sennheisers would be unsuitable. I had some Sony phones for years, very comfortable, good sound, and helped to prevent potential road traffic accidents involving myself.

Just gone looking for them, can't find them, but I think you can still get them at Argos. This looks like them http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5340466/c_1/1%7Ccategory_root%7CHome+entertainment+and+sat+nav%7C14419512/c_2/3%7C15701197%7CHeadphones+and+earphones%7C14419643/c_3/4%7Ccat_14419643%7CIn-ear+headphones%7C14419650.htm

Don't like Sennheiser at all. Get some Panasonic RP-HJE300 for $20. Had them for 2 years and beats the cx-300 II's which I bought yesterday. Much better vocals and smoother sounding compared to cx-300 IIs. Bass may be overwhelming at first but gets tighter as they progress. cx-300 II just sounded harsh and had terrible mid-range.
