Ipod Dock + Shuffle

Hi allhaven't posted for ages (apologies )

 Basically my father was given an ipod shuffle for his birthday (god knows why) and now he's after a dock for it.

I've never owned an ipod or a docking system so was wondering whether it is possible to do this?

If so can someone recommend one and if not how to go about connecting it to the Stereo??

I think you need one of these, then you can stick it on any dock you like. Unless it's one of the brand new shuffles (out last week), in which case I don't know.
