in search of new stereo set

Hi,

I am looking for a new stereo set in my living room. My room is 4 mtrs wide 5 mtrs long. Distance of speaker-listening position is 2,2 mtrs. I can only achieve a max of 40 cm from backwall to speaker.

Iam looking for a total new system, speakers, integrated amp and cd player, my budget is around 4,000 pds.

I listen to rock, metal and classical music.

Any suggestions?

you could do a lot worse than look at an Exposure 3010S2 CD & Amp with a pair of PMC GB1's or if you can stretch it a little FB1's. The combination is very strong with really grip of the bass and excellent drive.
