Imported Blu Ray films and Playstation 3

Hopefully this is an easy question, can US NTSC Blu Ray movies be played on a UK Playstation 3?

Theres a few films out there that haven't been released on Blu Ray here, and i'm just deciding between imported blu ray or standard DVD.

In four words, for the time being.

Blu-ray does support Region Coding (US is Region A, we're Region B) but so far no studio is restricting their content by region. I think they had an agreement not to, until they've suckered us all in to the format passed the early adoption phase ;-)

That will be in quite some time then if the players carry on selling at the rate they are now! (PS3 not included)
