Hi,

My main library is on a desktop, second one is on a netbook (local, not wifi streamed remote). Importing it to the netbook over wifi network was straightforward (select remote library tracks, click import, wait 2 days ;-) ).

But how do I import the playlists from the main library so I can see and play them on the netbook library locally?

Thanks!

thanks, idc. this should be workable.

if it is just a matter of copying/pasting the itunes folder, does it have to be via an ipod, or can I just use an external HDD? and what if my library is larger than the ipod (which it is)? then I kinda have to use (a larger) external HDD.

Thinking outloud here. You could move your itunes library onto the hard drive and then onto the notebook. That may work. Just do not delete anything till you have tried it. I have used drag and drop rather than copy and paste more successfully with itunes files in the past. But it may be the same thing anyway.

Find itunes in My Music in your computer and drag and drop it to the heard drive.

If your ipod is smaller than the library you either create a playlist for the ipod and synch to it rather thahn the main library, or you check and uncheck the tick boxes to the left of each track (you can do that in batches) and then have the ipod synch only with checked items.
