dim_span:just out of interest, how many power points/wall plugs are all these components connected to? ....
Three groups of four units wired into individually fused 10-amp rated light switches mounted 4 to a box in surface mount boxes on the back of the rack. Three mains leads then run to three of six outlets on a surge protection strip, thence to one 13-amp wall outlet. Not ideal, but neat and safe (I'm a CEng, trust me). Can't do much else in a rented flat. The subwoofer is on a separate wall outlet entirely (although probably on the same ring main). However, the day I draw (13 A x 230 V equals about) 3 kW running my hifi is the day I get evicted, and the PSX-Rs should be delivering clean DC power to the critical components (CDT, DAC, pre and power amps) anyway.
