Could someone please tell me the differnence between the two, other than that was is a phone.

Thanks

My main frustration (when I only had an iPod Touch) was that it's very difficult to get onto the internet when you want/need to - you're completely reliant on finding a wi-fi access point and most of those cost the earth. Although you have to pay at least £30 per month for the phone, you can do as much web browsing as you like and it's normally easy to find a signal, especially in a town or city where you probably need the information most.

Good point. With the iPhone you can generally get online anywhere as you can utilise the 3G network whereas the iTouch is reliant solely on Wi-Fi.

You can't send mesages on the iTouch. (although there is probably an app for this...)

The i-Phone also has GPS so sat nav apps work. The 3GS models also are able to detect which way you are facing and can orientate the maps accordingly. The speaker is better on the phone and the microphone is built into the handset. On the newer Touch models the mic is on the headphone lead.

I was going to say this which one sound's better, are you saying the phone sound's better than the touch one, what about headphone listenening and listenening to them on speakers?

Thanks

I think they both sound the same. Whether the phone circuits add some form if interference I don't know. Just that supplied headphones are a bit pants and should be upgraded. If using a Touch the mic is an issue the the choice is limited. Sennheiser do a good in hear set with a mic in the lead. With regards using the internal speaker for music it's only really for 'hearing' the music rather than 'listening' to it. Oh one other thing the Touch is available in 64gig but the largest phone is 32gig.

My son in law as both and he prefers the iphone all day long. I also have the iphone and its just great having it all in one package

One more question say if you were on a plane would you be able to listen to the I-Phone on it?

Like the way you would the I-Touch? Because they do say all phone of now?

Thanks

They have an 'airplane mode' which switches off all cellular traffic so you can use it as a standalone player without any problems.

But you still can't use it during take-off and landing!
