This thread reminds me of the chap who was asked,

"Which is more important to life on earth, the Sun or the Moon"?

He replied.

"The moon, as it gives some light so that you can find your way around at night, the brightness of the sun doesn't matter as it is light during the daytime anyway".

This could be quite 'subversive' to some people here. It clearly illustrates the alternating nature of the signal currents with the symbols for the "electric current flow direction" shown moving back and forth very short distances along the voice coil wires.

Many cablists believe in cable 'directionality' and obey arrows marked on their cables that are supposed to tell them the 'best' way to align them to assist the signal 'flow' from source to loudspeaker.

In reality - as the animation in your link shows - the signal current is changing direction up to 20,000 times per second (or more) and therefore makes a mockery of the idea that cables should perform better in one direction than another.
