Anyone clapped eyes on the Humax iCord yet? It's a Freesat HD PVR. Not released in the UK yet but a handful of grey imports have started to show up.

afaik its not a "freesat" pvr. it doesn't support the freesat epg although it may receive uk fta channels.there's been quite a buzz about it on the dedicated satellite forums. the word is it is intended for the middle eastern market although being sold through out europe, germany especially but will never be sold(officially) in the uk. a great shame as it looks to be an amazing bit of kit. with twin tuners but unlike sky/freesat is able to record 4 programmes at once whilst also watching another

its just not compatible with freesat. freesat uses a closed platform similar to sky.which means the kit has to be specific to that platform. from what i can gather from the sat forums is that the ichord will never be available for uk market or adapted to work on freesat platform. there is a freesat pvr due soon from humax but nothing like the specs of the ichord
