humax hd pvr -got one??

Hi All,
just wondering if anyone out there who has got one of these elusive boxes would care to comment regarding picture quality etc. I`m finding it hard to find any reviews etc. I know WHFS&V have a review coming soon but i`m getting impatient!!!

Not long to wait now, Murg - the review is in our issue that was posted to subscribers on Friday (so some may even have it now - though with December post i'd guess more likely tomorrow...), and is in shops by Thursday at the latest.

I've got mine but haven't got the dish up yet so can't comment at the moment. I decided to buy after learning of the DISECQ control as this kind of makes up for the lack of Freeview recording (it enables you to receive other FTA satelites).

As to getting a box Dave, Argos Direct is your friend. They seem to be the only people receiving loads of stock. JL, Currys, Comet all out of stock when I've tried. Argos, loads of boxes!!!! They've been having 4 or 5 deliveries a week so far as I can tell when others have been unable to get one!

Forget the Argos web site though, it shows out of stock when they're in stock over the phone in my experience: -

i gotta freesat hdr cheers alsone! i got one of the first batch as i pre-ordered through my sat/aerial supplier months ago but like you havn't got round to setting it up yet ,as my new hd panel dont arrive till tuesday/wednesday.

it was the mag i was refering too. i hadn't received it on saturday,but got it today
