HUMAX FOXSAT-HDR Display too bright

I have just replaced my sky hd box with the humax hd box and I'm impressed with the audio and picture but why there is no mention of the over bright led display in the WHF reviews. Anyone know how to change it?

You cant change the display brightness unfortunately-The cure is some coloured acetate sheet taped to the inside of the flap

Maybe the next version of this box due this year will have a dimmable display but the current one hasn't. Personally, I've had my box 2 years and I have no complaints about the display, better bright than unreadable in my book. Anyway, personal choice but as Davey says your only curent option is to dim it using some tinted film.
